 THE CARIBBEAN: Last week, 3 storms hit the Caribbean and Mexico. Alerts for rain were issued in three states in Mexico.

 MEXICO: Heavy rains, not associated with the hurricane season, affected 40,000 people.

 BRAZIL: Nearly 1 million people have been affected by rains, 37 municipalities are on alert.
